C21: A wood and composite material double-bass for the 21st century

MATERIAL

The top, neck and fingerboard are still made out of the traditional woods (spruce, maple and ebony). The back and the sides are made out of a new composite material called « TECHTONE » ® , which qualities are equivalent to vibrating maple (flexibility, spring, resonance, timbre…).

The C21 has no equivalent in its price range as far as deepness of tone, response, sustain are concerned, played pizz or arco.

FUNCTIONALITIES

DETACHABLE NECK IN 10 SECONDS
Very simple setting and dismantling. Tensing tail-piece allowing to put/release the tension of the strings in one move.

BODY USABLE WITH 4 or 5 STRINGS
The string pressure can be adjusted by adjusting the hight of the tail-piece anchor

ADJUSTABLE STRING ACTION
A simple turn of a wrench raises or lowers the fingerboard from the strings

REMOVABLE AND EXCHANGEABLE PEG-BOXES
To be able to change strings in a few seconds without taking them of
